User Interface development using Javascript using electron 

User Interface development using Javascript for desktop application, using web technologies that is cross platform making development easy is now available for developers with electron (formerly atom-shell). 

Tried a simple desktop application using html, bootstrap for the user interface and node.js app for the functionality.
